The Syrian Shakeup (The Waffling Way of Lil Obi)

News organizations, Twitter and Facebook have been following, almost exclusively, the recent barbaric events in Syria.  The use of chemical weapons resulting in 1400 dead adults and children.  Many differing theories as to who is responsible for this atrocity, from the Syrian government (Assad), the rebels (Muslim Brotherhood affiliated), to the United States. At least no one, so far is BOBing (you know, Blame on Bush). The big question is "what is Obama going to do?"

Why is this question being asked and what is the answer?
The Back Story.
During  a speech on 8-20-12, President Obama stated that if Syria used, attempted to use or prepared the use of chemical weapons that they would have crossed Obama's "Red Line" and that the United States would act.  This "Red Line" was crossed in June, 2013, The World Outline reported the use of Sarin Gas by the Assad government, resulting in the death of at least 200 Syrians.  The resulting Administration response was inaction, meaningless bloviating and useless utterances.
The Syrian's action in June, 2012 is an example of the non influence of the current administration and Obama's answer proved and highlighted this lack of influence. this now lead us to:
The Events of August 2013
Almost one year to the day, reports began stating that 1300-1400 Syrians were killed by a chemical attack.  Just now, as I am typing this, Secretary of State Kerry stated that the chemical agent used was, again, Sarin gas. The video's of the dead and dying, convulsing, vomiting and the dying filled the screens of our televisions and the internet.  Obama was quick to respond with and I paraphrase, we will retaliate on the Assad government and quickly moved Naval warships toward Syrian waters.  At this time the warships are still in place, idle, waiting for a go order to be sent.
Meanwhile, Mr. Obama has basically broadcast what exactly he aims to accomplish, nothing.  No regime change, if one is needed, no priority targets.  he also stated about when this mission would begin.  the result, according to The Washington Post, The Hill and The Mirror (Britian), Assad placed human shields, prisoners and children in and around suspected targets and other areas that may come under attack.
Now trying to assemble an international coalition England's Parliament voted no, but France is there.  Obama has a coalition of two, not really international.  Then Obama presents his case to the United Nations, which he knows won't be approved (as if anyone cares).  Up until now Obama did not deem it necessary to call Congress back from their month long hiatus to enter into a special session, even with the 20% approval rating for his intended actions.
President Obama has now brought the world to the edge of it's cosmic chair waiting for something to happen.  Kerry states on Thursday that, and I paraphrase, action need to occur immediately.  The world waits.  Finally a breakthrough: Obama has decided to turn the mess over to Congress, when they return from their boondoggle on September 9th.  Now this is a decisive president (little p intentional).  I cannot confirm if he used a teleprompter for this decisive speech.  He also stated this situation is "not time sensitive" which means inactivity on his part.  Maybe Valerie Jarret did not approve of bombings.  Which not takes us to:
The Way I See It (TWISI)
What I see in this crisis is an indecisive president, afraid to be a leader or take a risk.  he has brought this situation on himself, spewing about the Red Line without the backbone to enforce it.. When Syria crossed his imposed Red Line in June, action should have be taken immediately.  To stop behavior the penalty must be Sure, Swift and Severe.  Syria suffered none of these.  No wonder we are the laughing stock of the world.  I believe that the only reason Obama turned the Syrian crisis over to congress is to take the blame away from him. However, if congress voted his plan down, a slap to Obama or if congress approves, a slap to the American People which will be remembered in November 2014.
I do believe that absent of public opinion and the administrations own words concerning impeachment threat of Bush concerning Iraq (Bush did obtain congressional approval) Obama would have give the go order. Here is why:  When I was a kid, growing up in Montana we would have snowball fights.  For the less experienced snowballers the tactic was this.  Lob a snowball at the target, while the target was following the snowball, line drive a second straight at them.  I believe this is Obama's tactic.  Democrats always say to not let a good crisis go to waste.  While the networks, public and the world are following the bombing of Syria, Obama will be using his executive order pen to further shred the constitution on the second and fourth amendments, plus other laws he doesn't like.  This president wants to begin a war with a country of which, Rand Paul states accurately, there is no clear cut ally.  Syria need to solve their own problems and Obama need to quit trying to be the world's daddy.

Obama's $100,000,000 gaggle.

July 1, 2013

"Government exists to serve the people, not the other way around"  Barack Obama's speech in South Africa.

Let's talk about Obama and family vacation that is costing us $100,000,000.  What have we received for our wasted money?

First the $100,000,000:  Obama brought his wife, kids and Mother-in-law plus ? Who knows.  FLOTUS also took up to 21 staff members with her.  How would you like a vacation like that: body guards, all expenses paid and not by you.  Her airfare, alone, for this boondoggle was $424,000, This does include guests and her staff.  Talk about a free ride.

"Obama blamed the upsurge of terrorist groups on the fact that “countries are not delivering for their people and where there sources of conflict and underlining frustrations that have not been adequately dealt with".  Stated at a town hall meeting for African youths.  Apparently he was not thinking about the conflict and underlying frustrations that the majority of Americans are feeling now. Higher taxes, high unemployment, mistrust of government are all contributing factors.

(CNN) -
U.S. President Barack Obama pledged $7 billion Sunday to help combat frequent power blackouts in sub-Saharan Africa.  Where does Mr. Obama going to receive the funding for this?  Maybe he can ask the Chinese since we owe them so much now.  Oh the Chinese are angry at us, in case you forgot.  I know: we will just print more money, money that we don't have. Oh yeah, while were at it we will increase taxes (everyone can chip in more).

President Obama visited Robbins Island Prison where Nelson Mandela was held for years. News outlets reported this a very solemn event, as well it should be.  Mr. Obama signed the guest book "On behalf of my family".  Appears he forgot who paid for his trip, We The People.  Not a mention of the
United States.  This is arrogance.

To sum this trip up so, Obama's trip is all about him, as is his presidency.  In a little over two days he has spent 7.1 billion of your money.  Hardly wait to see the remainder of his trip.  Back to the quote at the beginning of this post.  Who is serving who in Obama's mind.

The NSA debacle gives rise to the thoughts and realities of recent government activities that have and are still emerging. By activities I am referring to the "scandals".  These scandals have created an atmosphere of mistrust and suspicion which affects the credibility of government in a very adverse manner.  The NSA may have a very important mission with regard to this untimely disclosure, which was aided by Edward Snowden, however, to paraphrase by their action you will know them.  Not just the actions of the NSA but of this government in it's entirety.  Recent history tells us to doubt, prompts us to mistrust and leads us to proper suspicion.

The current administration created the doubt, mistrust and suspicion.  To overcome these the administration must mover from opaque to transparent.  Read transparency, not how the government redefined this word.  This move must happen sooner than later in order to attempt to regain the trust of the government's employers:  We The People.

THE WAY I SEE IT (TWISI) SHREDDING THE Constitution To be an informed citizen and not merely a bystander, please read: Wikipedia. Some so called political pundits or self proclaimed experts state that our Constitution is a living document. They state that our founding documents should change to be consistent with the times. They liken the change to a human, whom they state is consistently evolving. TWISI: We all are aging, I really know this, in most areas. We age, we have problems and we fail or succeed. The area that does not change is our DNA. DNA never changes from birth to death. The constitution is our country's DNA. This document was written as the corner stone of the body of citizens we call the United States of America. No matter the political party in control or the make up of the Supremes the DNA does not change. No matter the turmoils or the disagreements we face as a nation, the Constitutional remains intact, as our founding fathers intended. An example of the Constitutional revisionist thinking IS THE Second Amendment, the Constitutional right for citizens to keep and bare arms. Revisionist thinking is of the premise that the founding fathers had not envisioned the arms of today, therefore the Second Amendment does not apply. I'm sure the founding fathers did not envision the internet, television or other electronics being invented. Does this also make the first amendment non applicable concerning news and political commentary. The Way I See It: of course not. Both premises are absurd. What the revisionists are driven by is agenda. Their idea is to transform that body which is named The United States of America into a country that is void of God and the Constitution. As in any transformation of a country, three changes come into play: transform the educational system, transform religion and gain the cooperation of the press. The education system has removed God from the classrooms, many have removed the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star and Stripes from school. Many textbooks are attempting to reinterpret history as the events happened. The "mainstream press" is already on board and the attempt to make the Constitution evolving is into full swing. The Supreme court is the watch dog of the Constitution, however New appointment(s) could see the watchdog title change. Religious is being hindered by threats of federal lawsuits regarding the exercise of free speech (First Amendment). We as citizens making up the body of the United States can rise up with our vote. We can and must vote for the politicians who think we work for them. We can and must vote for the school board to ensure an ethical school system and have the desire to value what our forefathers envisioned when the founding documents were written. A simple example of the literal intent of the founding fathers: Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution states: "To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square)" Washington D.C. is exactly 100 square miles (ten miles square). This is but a small item but proves the literal meaning of the Constitution. All appropriate comments agreeing or disagreeing are welcome. Please refrain from vulgar and threatening language.
